Quarters in Hamburg

18.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger easily advanced to the round of the last eight in Hamburg, defeating Czech qualifier Jan Hajek 6-4, 6-3 today.

Roger had some trouble with his game in the beginning, but nevertheless secured the first set 6-4. He continued to raise his game, not allowing a single break-point in the second set, eventually closing out the match with his sixth match point.

He will next play Germany's Florian Mayer (ATP 45).

decided to change until you had practiced with it and felt confident to do so.
As long as you are happy, I am happy.
Some complain about you not coverting BPs--frankly I could not care less how often this happens, 10,20 times as long as you win who cares about such trivia.
Re Novaks different racquet some years ago--he changed companies--Roger has not changed from his comapny, Wilson .
We are looking forward to your QF. Wishing all of the best for it
Kindest regards

Hello Roger
Congratulations on winning your 1st 2 matches.
Roger, you stand out with your enormous skill, grace and elegance, even more so now with our tennis world of endless hours of bash and bang. You always have such a great feel for the ball--I will never tire of watching you play .
I have no qualms whatsoever that you have changed your racquet. As you mentioned in your interview you have tried /played different ones throughout your career-You know what is right AND no way would you have

People, it is only Roger's second match with a bigger record after using a smaller one for more than 10 years.

He will need time to adjust to it. That is why he is playing these smaller tours with a lot of dangerous players. He will get better with every match, so he can be ready coming August.

And to let you know, the 250 tour in Bogota has as number one seed Tipsy !!!
He is not even a top 10 player !!!

So if Roger wins these two small tours, he will have defeated "great" players !!

They schedule him late because he brings in the most money !!! Everywhere.
At AO he had just one day session, the rest were night sessions.

Did you see his first match against Brands? Completely sold out. After him the Jerzy match and the crowd was gone !!! The commentator even said it is a shame that people leave after a Roger match and why don't they stick around for the next match.

Roger (even at his age and his ranking) always brings in the crowd.
The organisation knows t

Good luck for Quarter - Final against Germany's Florian Mayer (ATP 45). You are very close to finish-line. Go Roger . You can do it. Today you should play your magical tennis with an amazing game- plan. Then, you are in semi finals. And then finals. And then finish-line.
