Roger in semis

19.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger reached the semifinal of the German Open Tennis Championship in Hamburg with a 7-6(4), 3-6, 7-5 victory over Florian Mayer today.

It was hard work for Roger all the way, he won the tie-break of the first set had to drop the second. In the third set, he scored a break twice to take a lead but the German broke back at both occasions. Roger finally went on to close the match, holding serve after another break in the end after exactly 2 hours of play.

Roger will now play Argentina's qualifyer Federico Delbonis (ATP 114) in Saturday's semis.

There seems to be a lot of stiff opposition for Roger around these days!

The weather is looking good in Hamburg, Let's hope Roger is playing a bit better than yesterday. I don't think I can handle another rollercoaster match.

Let's go Roger, let's go!!!1

The article was very similar to another verymoving article i read a day before the olympics final with a title 'Lord save the kings' referring to phelps and roger saying that i know Lord they are old but don't let them fall they are always on top. Help them be where they belong.. such a moving article it brought tears in my eyes because we all know sooner or later it will be over...

whatever magic water fognini has been drinking lately should be bottled and sold. he is on such a tear. just beat almagro in 2 sets after beating haas in 2 sets. hopefully roger comes through today and the back is ok. if he does, hopefully he can tame fogy. but i will not hope for too much. he may need a little more time to get used to his new weapon. these 2 clay court events should give him a lot of information about that. anyway GOOOOOOOOOO ROOOOOOOOGER!!!!!

because he never gives up and he owes it to himself and his fans.. in much the same way that a normal person owes it to himself and other people. The author said that roger forthese reasonhas become a true idol worshipped for these lessons of life. Thats why no one would like to see him fall because he is the impersonation of hope...
