Roger defeats Haas

15.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has booked a spot in the quarter-finals in Cincinnati with a 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory over Germany's Tommy Haas.

It was a tough fight for Roger in the beginning as he only managed to find his game trailing 1-6, 2-4, to the delight of the spectators. Next up is either Rafael Nadal or Grigor Dimitrov. And then it would be a further, tough path with Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic as possible opponents for the semis and then the final.

You had a chance to break back .. and hit the net ... you lost again because you did NOT stay with the game plan you gave up AGAIN. I will cheer for you but you deserve your number 7 ranking.

Yes He has played very well.
Because of that I have never been as disappointed as I am. He has so much to lose here. So much. And he had the opportunity. I know Rafa is a fierce fighter, but Roger had this match. He really did.
Up and at them.
Congratulations for taking the first set.

No regret. Roger fought till the end. Nadal is too strong. This the fastest HC in this season for sure. Can't even think about slow HC, what would it be?

I would prefer Roger to tackle the US Open and then retire on top he loves the game yes .. No one loves to lose, and with his return game gone and the backhand is gone too.
