Roger defeats Haas

15.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has booked a spot in the quarter-finals in Cincinnati with a 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory over Germany's Tommy Haas.

It was a tough fight for Roger in the beginning as he only managed to find his game trailing 1-6, 2-4, to the delight of the spectators. Next up is either Rafael Nadal or Grigor Dimitrov. And then it would be a further, tough path with Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic as possible opponents for the semis and then the final.

To be honest if he loses its the same story played to many errors in big moments and the 0-30 at 4-4.

this is why i said he needs to try a little bit harder on the return games
he knows rafa is going to serve to his backhand, why give away so many free points, havent he and is camp took a lesson about the way steve darcis played against nadal..dont play to much at his backhand, mixe things up, make him guess...

Rafa looks better now and Roger is starting to miss now. And isn't putting enough pressure on serve.

Damn! I feared that. Come on Roger, you can still do it. We have seen the magic of RF tonight. Keep fighting and make him run like in the first set, the sweat was dripping off him.
