Roger defeats Haas

15.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has booked a spot in the quarter-finals in Cincinnati with a 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory over Germany's Tommy Haas.

It was a tough fight for Roger in the beginning as he only managed to find his game trailing 1-6, 2-4, to the delight of the spectators. Next up is either Rafael Nadal or Grigor Dimitrov. And then it would be a further, tough path with Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic as possible opponents for the semis and then the final.

I WATCHED SOME OF THE MATCH LIVE STREAMING, THE MAGIC OF OLD WAS THERE, THE AGGRESSION, which has been so lacking in Rogers came over recent years., Keep it up Roger for the US Open.
Take care

PULMA and others, do NOT dream that Roger can outlast his younger opponents.. yes.. truth may be bitter to swallow.. the only thing Roger can do now that he has to reconsider the new racquet. This will give him easy power with less effort thereby helping him to last longer.

To our GOAT!

You are still the best even with tonight's loss to Nadal, you could have broken him to even up to 5-5. You are so beautiful to watch. The only few mistakes were going in and giving him "soft" returns, kill that damn ball when you're at the net, that guy won't give you any free points. Please, next time. We, your fans will always be there for you.

you need to become smarter, when they serve you must try your best with putting the ball back in play, maybe they will make the error then, but you dont try enough, i am sorry for saying this, but this what i see over and over again the last few months

A slip in concentration allowed Rafa back in the match. This was a good preparation for US OPEN , i am still hopeful for a 2013 slam..he will come as an underdog as most people have dismissed him before even starting. Great effort my dear Roger

FEDFHURER, one cannot improve the physical abilities at the age of 32. That's why Annacone suggested Roger to use the new racquet that would have definitely IMPROVED HIS BH RETURN OF SERVE AND BH ON THE HIGH BOUNCING BALLS.
Paul is doing his job well, but Roger is too stubborn to change.

It was a beautiful game. You took the break after the back issue and had great practice.

No regret.

Thanks.

Though to see Roger lose. To bad. But this is somewhat of his better tennis seen this year, that means somehting good for the US Open. He needs to fight even harder and still believe he can like in 2012. And we all know he can, but things need to workout eventually. Injury, racket, who knows, only he knows. Roger come on, don't give. It was a good fight. Next Us open, this was defitnily needs to be yours!!!
