Not an easy draw

23.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

The draw for the US Open is out: Roger's first-round opponent is Slovenia's Grega Zemlja (ATP 61). His path from there is rather steep - he could already play Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals. The Spaniard is the favourite for the title in Flushing Meadows after the double in Montreal/Cincinnati.

A meeting with Sam Querrey (ATP 29) is possible in the round of the last 16 before Roger could play Kei Nishikori (ATP 12) in the quarters.

After his five titles from 2004-2008 in New York, Roger is now aiming at his 18th Grand Slam title.

Good luck Roger. I love you and believe in you. You can and you will do it.
Just show the hunger that got you 17 GS allready.
We will take it one point and one match at the time.

For all the things you do and for the way you are, you DESERVE an 18TH GS and 6TH USO !!!

There never was and never will be anyone like you.

Great ones have come and gone, but you are THE ONLY ONE who says he wants to leave the game Tennis better when he retires.
For that alone, you deserve EVERYTHING.

On the opening day the NY Times features an article on Roger. Clearly no other player has done more for tennis in terms of sportmanship, style, elegance and skill. And of course its a game that reaches to millions globally and this is to a great extent because of Roger.
So Dear Maestro just go and enjoy yourself.
Thank you for being there!

Instead of wishing you good luck, I wish u good confidence, good strength, good focus and more, especially good winning! You've got what it takes, Roger. You're the whole package and you can teach these youngsters a lesson or two!

Enjoy yourself out there and remember, your legions of fans are right there with you - all the way! God Bless, Roger.
