Roger with a good start

28.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger won his first round at the US Open against Grega Zemlja (ATP 62) 6-3, 6-2 and 7-5.

Roger was in very good shape, winning the match in 1 hour 33 minutes. The stats for his first round are certainly impressive: 85% of points won on his first serve, 12 aces, backed up by 35 clean winners, the last of them a forehand volley to wrap it up.

The two players split the first six games to begin the match, before Roger won three in a row to take the first set, 6-3. He continued that success in the second set, winning 6-2 before taking the match with a 7-5 victory in the third set.

Roger will now play Argentina's Carlos Berlocq (ATP 48).

YOU WANT THIS ROGER, YOU WANT TO WIN USO 2013. PLEASE PRACTISE HARD AND (LIKE NOVAK) TREAT EACH POINT AS IF IT WAS MATCHPOINT.

I CANNOT STOP TELLING HOW MUCH YOU DESERVE TO WIN.
THERE IS NO ONE ON THE PLANET (EXCEPT YOUR FAMILY, TEAM AND YOU AND YOR DIEHARD FANS) WHO THINK YOU CAN WIN.

THEY THINK NOVAK/RAFA/ANDY WILL WIN. NO ONE IS EVEN CLOSE TO MENTIONING YOU.
PLEASE SHOW THEM ONCE AGAIN THAT IT IS A BIG BIG MISTAKE TO UNDERESTIMATE THE GOAT OF ALL GOATS, THE ONE AND ONLY ROGER FEDERER

BUT WHAT I LOVED THE MOST WAS (I DIDN'T KNOW THAT) THAT YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD NOT HAD ENOUGH RALLIES, SO AFTER THE WIN YOU PRACTISED !!!!
THIS SHOWS ME ROGER, YOU ARE NOT AT THE USO TO GO DEEP, YOU ARE AT THE USO TO WIN !!!!!!!! YOU COULD HAVE GOT REST, MESSAGE, ETC, BUT YOU WENT PRACTISING. YOU SO DESERVE TO WIN USO '13.

I AM GETTING SO FED UP WITH ALL THE ARTICLES EVERYWHERE TELLING YOU TO RETIRE, HOW UNINMAGINABLE IT IS THAT YOU ARE THE 7TH SEED!!!

WHY DON'T PEOPLE GET OVER IT AND LEAVE Y

I am so proud of you Roger. Yes, you had a little bad moment at the 3rd set. In the past you could not come out of it and it influenced your winnings.
NOW, you refocuse yourself and you dig deeper.
I loved the thing you said to the linesman. Not that nice, but come on, Roger, you are human, why does everyone want everything coming out of your mouth to be perfect?? You are not perfect, close to, but you are human. Don't worry about that moment. Even you are aloud to make a bad comment once
