Roger races into round 3

29.08.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger booked his spot in round three at the US Open with a clear 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Carlos Berlocq today.

It took Roger just 95 minutes to wrap up the win against the 30 year old Argentinian. Our champ will now play either France's Adrian Mannarino (ATP 63) or Sam Querrey of the USA (ATP 31).

I am so proud of Roger. No matter how "bad" he is playing, he is still loved by millions. No matter how dominating Novak is, how great Andy is becoming,
how unbeatable Rafa is becoming, Roger still wins Fan Favourite Awards and Sportmanshipawards.

Even now at USO, Roger is SO loved. When he played Rafa at Cincy, the crowd was more for him. Even when he lost at Wimby this year. The crowd ALWAYS is for Roger, even when he is losing, they pep him up.

Just look at what Novak had to do, what kind of a game he had to bring, just to beat a 31 year old Roger at WTF Final 2012.
Just look at what it meant for Novak just to beat a 31 year old Roger. He was screaming of joy. And to make it worse, Novak had a year like 2011 and 2012,
yet the crowd was for Roger. With those two amazing years, even Novak could not stop Roger for taking his nr 1 place and stopping him for beeing the fan favourite again.
Even after his 2011 and 2012 year.....

Like I said, betweem themselves in private, Novak, his dad and his entire team talk like that. Now his father is mad that Novak is not as dominating anymore like in 2011 or 2012, so he had to lash out. I mean, come on, if you think like this for YEARS, why did he not say this in 2011 or 2012?? He is mad that Novak is beeing surpassed by Rafa and Andy both and that no matter how much Novak tries he cannot get RID of a 31/32 year old Roger. Look at what Novak ALL had to do just to beat .......

Hi guys, I have made this comment before. I like Novak a lot, but I thought he was a little bit cowardless to say that he is not responsible for what his father says. That is a lot of crap. Whether you like it or not, you (even if you are Roger, Rafa or Andy) ARE RESPONSIBLE for what your team or family says. Period. And you cannot tell me that his father just made those remarks up. I think they all between themselves talk like that and his father was mad that Novak is not dominating......

Absolutely impressive win, Roger. Congratulation :))
Wishing your aggressive strategies game plans will sweep victory with ease. Anyway, be careful with Mannarino. Stay focus + calm to execute your distinctive precise serves + strokes to beat him in three. We know you can do it.
Just shine your best. Good Luck, Rog.
