A really solid first week

01.09.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger enjoyed a confident 6-3, 6-0, 6-2 win over Adrian Mannarino (ATP 63) in the third round to round off a great first week at the US Open.

Roger faced just a single break point in the entire match against the Frenchman and was obviously very pleased with his performance after 81 minutes of play. "There's always a lot of pressure coming out here on this court to perform, because you never know if you're going to play well. Tonight was one of those nights."

Roger will now play the round of the last sixteen against Tommy Robredo (ATP 22). Our champ leads the head-to-head 10-0 and could then be in for a quarter-final against Rafael Nadal in the quarter

for everyone - rog's interview after disastrous performance
09/03/2013 | 05:42 AM
tv commentator is a Federer fan - he said "I believe Roger is the Greatest of All Time BUT, he said further, If Roger loses this one, I hope Roger will(retire) because it's much too horrible for his fans to see him this way.
He was right - I felt horrible - they showed a close up of his face after he repeatedly and automatically lost breakpoints on Robredo's serve, his eyes looked haunted, like a man facing a firing squad, embarrassed, seeing the writing on the wall.

I'm sad

this is the first chance I have to write - it's very very sad - I watched the whole match.

when it was not a break point roger played brilliantly
when it was a break point, he became another person - all balls immediately or soon went tamely into the net or out unforced error

so all robredo had to do was let it go to breakpoint and robredo would automatically win.
2nd set :
a. 1 breakpoint(BP) wasted in 1st game
b. 3 breakpoints wasted in 5th game
c. 2 BP wasted in 9th game

Great to see the support for Roger guys! Roger is like the phoenix. He will rise from the ashes [like he did in 2009, 2012] and then take full flight like a falcon!

He is really giving it his all and that is all you can ask for, as a fan!

Allez Roger!!!!!!!!

Dear Rog, U are right that U self destructed your ownself, U lost to nobody but U yourself, the greatest enemy; it's undoubted that U still possess the passion, energy and technique but it's a puzzle that in 2013 U very occasionally destructed your ownself. Unless and until U and your team find the answer to this puzzle and rectify, your situation will only further deteriorate. My fellow Fans of Rog, no need to mourn, just believe our Champ will find the solution. He's the best, no doubt.

thank you robredo. thank you for saving me from another federer vs nadal rivalry match. i'm so sick of this rivalry i cannot say how much. it is the only thing the media harps on. 4th round is fine with me. not sad at all. 10-1 vs robredo is great. love you rog. see you next tourney. go have fun with the kids.

Roger, Roddick younger than you one year have already retire last year, you strugle with your physical fitness , staminal level, that very clear & obvious, so we do not wish you shame or humilated by top players when you face them..
