Federer and Annacone End |Coaching Relationship

12.10.2013 | Off Court, Starseite 3

After a terrific 3 ½ years working together, Paul and I have decided to move on to the next chapter in our professional lives. When we started together we had a vision of a 3 year plan to win another Grand Slam title and get back to the number #1 ranking. Along with many other goals and great memories, these 2 main goals were achieved. After numerous conversations culminating at the end of our most recent training block, we felt like this was the best time and path for both of us. Paul remains a dear friend, and we both look forward to continuing our friendship. I want to thank Paul for his help and the value he has added to me and my team.

1. HULIETTA***THIS IS FROM ***FEDERERGAL***

"A very nice interview with Paul Annacone two days ago!
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/tennis/2013/10/14/paul-annacone-talks-about-roger-federer/2983661/?utm_source=buffer&utm_campaign=Buffer&utm_content=bufferf7e00&utm_medium=twitter "
IT'LL HELP YOUR ANNACONE/COACHING QUESTIONS.

2. ***CPISCEAN***IS THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED NAVRATILOVA.

3. YEH A WOMAN'S ALWAYS RIGHT - IN ROGER' CASE, THE COACH IS A PARTNER, NOT A SUPERIOR.

Dear*federer's#1fan**kemna**

you guys are giving me a big (HOLLOW) head !! you are very kind and I'm sure you sincerely see a lot of people here on this site in the same way.

I certainly do - a lot of people here make a lot of interesting & inspiring comments which is why I come back to read you all again & again.

Keep it up - While I'm certain Rog does not read every word (NO TIME), I'm also certain that the Webmasters give a regular report to one of his Family who then tell him.

it might be true what you say but i don't think roger is too weak to maintain a balance between his personal and professional relations.Because now he has been more than 15 years on tour and i am so sure he has been through all kinds of emotions. It is always tough to ask someone to quit.I do feel that he was getting frustrated in that monfils match.Maybe because everything was going against him.But it can also be the other way.the result was not beacuse of that paul thing i feel so

FEDERER'S#1FAN,do you think, that maybe this transitional period,(i mean making the decision either to keep Paul or not) might have affected his performance? They are also friends and it's difficult sometimes to maintain balance between personal and professional relationship with a person.Maybe it wasn't good for his mental situation and as a result he couldn't give his best not even close.

HULIETTA
yes he was not there

FEDERER'S#1FAN,i totally agree with you. It's a tough decision for Roger as to what he should do.It's his age(his tennis character is specific, isn't in progress) and his achievements that make the decision tough.
As for Paul, was he in shanghai?i don't think i saw him in Roger's box.

yes roger wouldn't dare to contradict a woman lol.Well Navratilova is a great option.it might really help our maestro.Although I agree with the fact that Roger is matured enough to play without a coach right now. That would be shown in Basel that how he plays without seeking paul's advice over stuff.
