King of Istanbul

03.05.2015 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger celebrated the 85th title of his career after a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Pablo Cuevas in Istanbul today.

Our champ got off to an excellent start, converting the first breakball he had and holding the lead all the way through the opening set. Cuevas upped his game in the second set, taking the set into an incredibly tense tie-breaker which Roger eventually captured 11-9.

Now it is time for more action on clay in Madrid!

I want Roger to be the undisputed king of Grass, he totally deserves another Wimbledon title after that very tough loss against Djoker :(

I don't really mind as long as he can lift Wimbledon #8 and GS #18 at SW19

Generally, it does not take this long for Roger to adjust his game to Clay Court. Hoping that he would raise his game for Madrid and FO.

Güzel, güzel!

After watching the match Cuevas vs. Dimitrov, I was expecting a more difficult match today for you. Kind of 3 sets in today's second set style!

But you managed really well, you've tamed the clay so far! Or the clay has tamed you, which is good too. That means you can be patient when needed.
Keep feeling confident!

Ahora Madrid! SUERTE!
