Roger defeated in final

27.10.2013 | Tennis

Roger showed great tennis in today's final at the Swiss Indoors but was defeated by Juan Martin Del Potro 6-7(3), 6-2, 4-6.

Roger fought hard and both players displayed a terrific match. Our champ admitted a break in game number eight but came right back with a re-break to love. Unfortunately Del Potro proved the better player in the tie-breaker, taking the opening set. Roger jumped to a 2-0 lead in the second set and scored another break at the end of the set, wrapping it up neatly. The start into the decider was very unlucky for Roger. He was serving for the game at 40-15 but committed a total of three double-faults to lose the advantage and the game. Not able to score a break himself, Roger had to admit defeat after 2 hours 20 minutes.

Roger will play the tournament in Paris next week. He needs to win one single match there in order to qualify for the World Tour Finals.

I watched all of Roger's matches this week through a LENS..
How many times did he get broken after breaking his opponent ?
How many times did he let slip a good lead ?

and how many silly UEs he made on a fast INDOOR COURT where he did NOT had to adjust to the outdoor elements (wind, moisture, temperature) ?

Yes, he has improved a bit.
You can all be happy for now.

BUT KNOW THAT SURELY, Roger can never win another GS, 1000 or even a 500 with the smaller racquet..

You delieved a strong message to the earth today: average people are doing the regular but intelligent people create unique action to lead.

Winning or losing is not a big deal but possitive signature makes the difference.

We people, on the earth, are great for you as a real rock to fight hard for the life.

You obviously didn't watch the same match as me SDANU ..... Roger's game was superb and using his old faithful racquet. It could have gone either way but luck was with Del Potro today.

I Simply say to u All.
He is Back in a form, a kind which help him to Win Titles in past.
but U all think a player which is not in form whole 2013, but Here he show us all and world of Tennis, that dn't " Write Off" abt himself.
also Del is A kind of player which can Beat any Top player, and Roger already Remark abt Del " From My Side Del is A No.1".
Tie Break Record ever Best hold Roger, but today not his day to win, but for us important that he played Best.

**YUKIMI** and all others here

Roger's future is NOT bright. Its BLEAK.
Do NOT get carried away.
See, Think and Understand that it is IMPOSSIBLE for Roger to win even the master 1000s and 500s henceforth with the SMALLER racquet.

It is naturally NOT POSSIBLE for the 32 year old Roger TO sustain ERROR-FREE fast hitting ground strokes for a duration of even 3 sets with the smaller racquet against the top guys let alone 5 sets.

Reaching final is great and will definitely boost your confidence for Paris, Now only need one victory to qualify. I pray you perform equally good in the coming weeks and surprise all of us :)

Wish you all the best Champ

HOW MANY MORE MATCHES DOES ROGER NEEDS TO LOOSE TO REALIZE THAT HE IS TOO OLD TO PLAY WITH THE SMALLER RACQUET ?????

Is Roger really conscious and aware of the limitations of his aging body ??

Is Roger really able to see that the LEVEL OF COMPETITION is tougher NOW than it was in 2004-08 when he was at his best ?

Even the prime Roger of 04-07 will have a tough time to win WITH THE SMALLER RACQUET against these HARD HITTERS AND GRINDERS ...

WHEN WILL U REALIZE ROGER ??
WHEN ??
