Roger qualifies for Masters

30.10.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has qualified for the ATP World Tour Finals twelve times in series thanks to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over South Africa's Kevin Anderson in Paris-Bercy today.

Right from the start, Roger showed that he wanted to dictate play. He broke Anderson straight away, taking a 1-0 lead which he held for the remainder of the opening set. He secured another break early in the second set but battled at 5-2 when he had to drop his own serve. At 5-4 Roger fought off break-points before he made the victory and his participation in London clear after 82 minutes of play.

Roger is the sixth player after Nadal, Djokovic, Ferrer, Del Potro and Berdych to have qualified for the World Tour Finals. In the past eleven years that he participated, he won the tournament six times.

Roger will play Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber on Thursday in Paris-Bercy.

Has Dimitrov won then?

At least he has had recent practise against them FANCYFREE. I hope he can do even better next time ! It would be ironic that having not played Dimitrov in all this time, they have to play twice in a week.

That is Isner gone. Hopefully we now get Rogi and some magic. Must be patient. I hope they do not put an a on the end of his name for you, that could be a mouthful.
