Quarters in Paris-Bercy

31.10.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has booked a spot in the quarters in Paris-Bercy thanks to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Philipp Kohlschreiber (ATP 23).

"I'm happy with the way things went today from start to finish," Roger said. "I was able to play a consistent match, and I closed out nicely."

Roger was very efficient in the opening set, converting the only break-point and holding the lead to take the set. In the second set, he broke again to take a 5-4 lead and then serve for the match, wrapping everything up after 63 minutes of play.

Roger will face Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro tomorrow in a rematch of the Swiss Indoors Basel final.

So now it's a mini WTF.
Guys have you noticed UEs due to hitting at the net decreased sharply for both Forehad & Backhand also making very less mishits? Needs to improve on those angled ground shots which are somehow going haywire.
In 2nd round match he changed Racquet 3 to 4 times or more, does that mean anything?

Dear Roger this is your time waiting for a good match beating Delpo all the best!!!

Dear IDOL,
It's your genius that inspite of being so casual & whimsical in approach you can still beat 95% of the players so easily likewise you did yesterday. But for Delpo you need to be in your normal self atleast, don't have to be at your best. Only good serves & less UE alone can win matches for you. That is too obvious in last 7 matches. Also that bad service game costed you the Basel final. So requesting you to be just normal yourself which used to happen in past. All the best.
