Roger defeated by Djokovic

02.11.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger was not able to win his semi-final against Novak Djokovic in Paris-Bercy today, he was defeated 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.

Roger started brilliantly, breaking Djokovic early to take a 2-1 lead and later the set. He scored another break in the beginning of the second set, but Djokovic broke right back and Roger even dropped his serve one more time later on, losing the set. In the decider, Djokovic proved the stronger player, converting break-points to go up 2-1 and even scoring another break to 5-2 and eventually winning the match.

Next week, Roger will play the ATP World Tour Finals in London, having made his qualification for the tournament clear just this week.

dont rush!! Slow until u get the perfect chance, be prepare for after nadal even return ur.perfect winner. Dont get embarassed and repeat the same process again. no embarassing no rush just slow slow. Infinately repeat the formular of winning a point against nadal. U win.

one more thung...dont go for a winner shot when you feel like either can win the point or can end up making net errors...be patient send a top spinned attacking shot that can avoid net error and still give u chance to attack in next turn and expect to win a point in next turn or even a turn after next turn by doing same thing...be patient! As long as u still get the chance to win the point, extra more shots are fine!

i made a mistake sorry. Faster to win points, the better of course but be fully prepared for the formula of the most number of combinations of shots to win points against nadal. So you will win in both short rallies and long rallies.

23 winners to 37 UNFORCED ERRORS
FOR A 2 HR MATCH (a short match by Grandslam standards)
PLAYING INDOORS ON A HARD COURT (Roger's plays his best here).

Roger gave 100% in the best playing conditions and still made 37 errors and only 23 winners.

What more statistics is needed to emphasize the importance of LARGER RACQUETS ??

dear Rog, it was wonderful to see u coming near to ur best.. u r the champ.. i m sure 2014 is going to be a great year.. but i think you should be little more patient while playing points and especially on crucial points. it's the simple points that i believe is costing u most of the matches. Focus and march forward.

Make up the as the most number of combination of shots as possible to win points against nadal in nadal's serve game. . if u finish the the most number of combination of shots to win points against nadal. Beating nadal will be so easy. I think you become embarassed when rally gets to long and lost all your mind. My suggestion is u do what you do but well prepared for when thinh didnt go ur way that rally gets so long. When u can win early, its better and when rally gets long, ur ready with tacti

my whole point in simple word, until you get the chance, take the slowest approach. You are much more talented than nadal but Nadal just exploited of you trying to finish points as fastest possible. you gotta make much longer formular which takes more shots to win points than other players. Make this longer formula and ur mind up for much longer rally. This is what djokovic realized and made his formula to beat nadal by exploiting nadal's backhand many times because his backhand is not easy

also you get a lot of net errors in opportunity of executing, so in that situation avoid net errors by attacking with top spinned ball and execute it when you are comfortable. you get so tentative to finish the point fast, that u make a lot of net errors. If you got the feeling of net error in executing moment, its not good idea to go with fast law ball because u will end up making net errors. Instead attack with safe top spinned balls in this kind of situation, and then execute next time.Norush

roger i watched your game again... problem is your backhand return.... focus on imptoving ur backhand.... tennis nowadays is exploiting opponent's backhand...look how ferrer played today. He just keep sending shots to nadal's backhand all the until he get the chance to execute, even though nadal's backhand is good enough. Djokovic did same thing to you. also you get a lot of net errorrs in a situation you feel like you can finish with fast law ball

1-Congratulations for a really good tournament Roger!

Don't be sad or disappointed my love, let it go. It was close, almost! Your serve and the net points were amazing. You'll beat him when the time is right.

You've been playing great and showing a top level and at the end this will come as an opportunity to have a little bit more time to rest and recover for London.
