Roger defeated by Djokovic

02.11.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger was not able to win his semi-final against Novak Djokovic in Paris-Bercy today, he was defeated 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.

Roger started brilliantly, breaking Djokovic early to take a 2-1 lead and later the set. He scored another break in the beginning of the second set, but Djokovic broke right back and Roger even dropped his serve one more time later on, losing the set. In the decider, Djokovic proved the stronger player, converting break-points to go up 2-1 and even scoring another break to 5-2 and eventually winning the match.

Next week, Roger will play the ATP World Tour Finals in London, having made his qualification for the tournament clear just this week.

Hi, Roger! It was quite a nice match. There were times you must acknowledge The Champ in your heart. In London you are much stronger. Take care and have a nice Sunday with your loved ones.

Sad you didn't win today Roger, but at least it's a day off tomorrow before the WTF! It was an exciting match today, and ND had had an easy week compared to the testing matches you had to play so I imagine he was fresh. But you have regained all your game, Roger, and next week the rest of them have to beat you on your territory, O2..... Much love as always to you and your dear family, Roger. Good luck at O2!

Sad about this, dear Roger, but not too sad. All these recent matches with the top players have brought back your game with a vengeance. I felt you were probably just a little tired today after two exciting weeks of great and tough matches whilst ND had an easy draw since even Stan wasn't on good form against him yesterday, and also ND didn't play last week. But you are on a roll, dear Roger, and the O2 court is your territory and the rest have to beat YOU there - if they can. Good luck!!

Thanks guys for updating me. I don't really warm though to Ferrer so that's why I went out instead.

Wonderful to see your game returning - you've played some fantastic tennis these last two weeks.
All the best for London - to have won the WTF 6 times is an incredible achievement.
Glad you can rest tomorrow xx
