Three honours for Roger

04.11.2013 | Off Court, Starseite 3

Roger receives three honours in the 2013 ATP World Tour Awards presented by Moët & Chandon at this week’s Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

Roger has been selected by his peers as winner of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for a ninth time and by fans as the ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite presented by Moët & Chandon for an 11th straight year. In addition, the 32-year-old Swiss has been named the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year for a second time in recognition of his foundation’s support of children in Africa and Switzerland. Since 2003, Roger has won a record total of 27 ATP World Tour Awards.

Roger played better today than in Paris. He really controlled his aggression to stay in long rallies than go for quick winners, and it paid off in set 2.

What Roger needs next is a solid match against Gasquet, and a well defined qualification target against Del Po (winning 1 set might be enough).

GO Roger! So proud of your spirit!

Well the same story. Roger fought but cannot continue the same at the 3rd set... The unforced errors again hurt him. For two sets he has chances to beat anybody but for three cannot go on with all the younger players. Certainly he has improved though last months. More, dramatic games ahead next days...

Seeing Rogers name at the bottom of the group board made my heart sink!

I hate Novak and why does Roger rush all the time....that final set was over in a blink.

:(((

This is how things are going to be from now on.He is not superman,we'll see where novak and rafa will be at 32.If we can't stand it,this is our problem, not Roger's.Although many claim it's not the age, well,it is.Bad psychological moods,is the result, not the reason.First came the losses, because he can't continue being the same, and that caused the lack of confidence and mental strength. Now,it's an endless circle and it's completely human.Let's not be rude to him, just because our ego is hurt.
