Ah Paddy I corrected the statistics. Usain Bolt and Mohammod Ali won the award three times to but Roger I predict will win it again in 2014!

Well done Murray! Commiserations Fancyfree, CJM, Yuki and others...lol. I don't like Vetel stood in the way far too much of our own Mark Webber whom I think is gorgeous. Very sad for Stan.
@Fancyfree thanks for the statistics re Roger and the Overseas Personality of the Year and the only one to win it 3 times. Goes to show you who is the GOAT!

This is a better link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Overseas_Sports_Personality_of_the_Year Usain Bolt won three times and therefore equals Roger. However i predict Roger will win the 2014 award! X

Ah Usain Bolt won two as did Mohammod Ali. Ali even won one for tennis! Obviously a mistake!

So am I FANCYFREE.
On the Swiss awards one sees the voting percentages the top 5 gets which is interesting. One can see how much someone has won by.
I agree a Roger is in a class of his own and he is a natural entertainer. He could train other athletes how to be interviewed when he plays less tennis. Not going to use that horrible R word!

CJM:

That has always impressed me about Mr. Tennis. He is a natural leader and is very comfortable with responsibility. On a similar note, his ability to win slams without a coach when the role of coaches and analysts in every sport increases by the day, is just mind-blowingly impressive.

Congrats to Murray! Tough luck to Stan and Mo Farrah.
