Australian Open: the draw

10.01.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

The coming Australian Open is Roger's 57th consecutive Grand Slam tournament. He will meet Australia's James Duckworth (ATP 134) in the opening round. He would then play the winner of the match between Radek Stepanek (ATP 45) and Blaz Kavcic (ATP 102).

Likely opponents after that are: Fernando Verdasco (round three), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (round of the last sixteen) or last year's finalist Andy Murray (quarters).
Rafael Nadal is in the same half of the draw as Roger - the two legends could meet in the semi-finals.

As for Williams,i can't know why she is so overweighted, there must be a reason,i don't judge. But she chooses her outfits in a way that make her look worse. She can manage to look better. She doesn't choose the right clothes outside the court, either.
And,to tell you the truth,i don't like her character at all.She talks too much and she is mean sometimes.

Hulietta, Kokkinakis missed most of last season with his second stress fracture in his back. Apparently it was diagnosed last year after the junior semis before he was beaten by Kyrigos in the final. He said in the article that he is feeling fit and strong and he has just returned from a 6 week training camp in Miami with Tommy Haas etc. Hopefully he will come through the first round and give Neanderthal (aka Nadal) something to think about.

I must say speaking of outfits Serena's outfit isn't overly flattering either if you know Disney's 1937 movie Fantasia. Check this link out.

CPISCEAN,i'm very excited about Kokkinakis and Kyrgios.Tomorrow i'm going to watch Kokkinakis,i hope he wins.I didn't know he was injured,i hope he gets well,it's a pitty to fail because of injuries. Is Kyrgios playing?

cont...
I am also very pleased with the way that Ash Barty has been performing tonight and this Australian summer. I think that having Casey Delacqua as her doubles partner is a great grounding for her and she is a very realistic young lady who will develop into her full potential.

Hulietta, I watched the Thomson match also and he is a very promising junior for Australia. I hope that he can keep going and that we (as a nation) don't put too much pressure on him and wreck him like we have done with Tomic. I am also very hopeful for the other two youngsters Kyrgios and Kokkinakis. I read an article about young Kokkinakis today and he has had two stress fractures in his back already. I hope he can stay fit and healthy to reach his potential.

CPISCEAN yes it is dissapointing,he can't come back.He was near breaking so many times, but he makes too many mistakes.
By the way,i watched thomson vs Janwicz, thomson did very well. But when he lost 3rd set,it was quite obvious there was a decline in his game and losing the game looked the most possible. Is this his first time?I hope we'll see him in the future.I like young players playing so good.I like Janowicz, too,i believe he'll do well, but he has to improve mentally.
