Roger defeats Djokovic

28.02.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger will play for a sixth title in Dubai tomorrow after a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Novak Djokovic. He will meet Tomas Berdych in the final.

After three defeats Roger was able to book another victory against Djokovic, now leading the head-to-head 17:15. Roger already dropped his serve in the second game of the opening set and was not able to come back after that. But in the second set, Roger managed his first break in the sixth game to later take the set. With two more breaks in the decider, Roger made everything clear in just under two hours of play.

Roger will play Tomas Berdych in Saturday's final, he leads the head-to-head 11-6. Our champ has won the tournament in Dubai 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2012.

I don't like Roger's body language. Somehow too passive. Definitely not the lion attitude from yesterday.

Boting - I remember that final against Hewitt where he was hitting the ball like he had done some Ramadan whole day fast and had no energy left. Gosh I hope he ain't playing that bad today. He REALLY needs this title to give him confidence.

I am. It seems he is struggling to find his way through. I hope Roger gets his act together fast.
