Indian Wells final

15.03.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger secured a spot in tomorrow's final in Indian Wells with a strong 6-3, 6-1 victory over Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Roger's stats today speak for themselves: 7 aces, 12 winners, just 12 unforced errors, 6 of 8 net points won and 4 of 9 break-points converted. He did not face a single break-point himself. Roger's run started at 3-3 when he secured a first break and then went on to win 5 consecutive games up to a 2-0 lead in the second set. It took our champ just over an hour to book his ticket for tomorrow's final.

Roger will play his 116th final against Novak Djokovic or John Isner for a record fifth title in Indian Wells.

No luck for Rog today at all. He has fought hard though, we can be proud of him, but things do not look good.

He fought so well in this match. Very proud of the way he fought back in the last set. Unfortunately it looks like this title is not meant to be this year.
