A perfect start in Miami

21.03.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger booked his place in the third round in Miami with a 6-4, 7-6(4) win over Ivo Karlovic (ATP 53).

Roger served perfectly, dropping only three points on serve during the entire match which he opened with a break, giving him the necessary lead to wrap up the first set. Karlovic could not keep up with Roger's baseline and net play and so our champ also went on to win the second set in the tie-breaker after a total of 75 minutes of play.

Roger will meet either Thiemo de Bakker (ATP 162) or Fernando Verdasco (ATP 29) in the next round.

Hi!! Nice to see you again out here. Same goes for me. But I always get a funny feeling when Roger plays one of our countrymen. It happens not often Roger plays against a Dutchman.

same principle applied here in my life
