Roger in quarters

25.03.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger defeated Richard Gasquet with a great performance today, booking a spot in the quarter finals in Miami with the 6-1, 6-2 victory.

Roger was in charge right from the start and easily secured the first set 6-1. He only had to be patient until 2-2 in the second set before scoring two breaks to wrap up the win in just 49 minutes.

Our champ will play his quarter final against Japan's Kei Nishikori (ATP 21) on Wednesday.

Making deep runs in those tournaments, seems a good thing right. I don't agree. The only tournament he has won, is Dubai.

Federer hasn't won a masters 1000 in a Long Time. In the past 7-8 years I think, he's won 5 grand slams? Maybe Less? THe problem with the maestro, is that his record looks like shi*. Already, if we look at Nadal or Djokovic... his records will be eclipsed. Federer has no reason to think he will do well during the clay season. Most commentators feel his only chance for another grand slam, is at Wimbledon. I disagree with them. HE lost to f*cking Stakhovky, god knows where he is.

finals in Brisbane, Semis in AO, Title in Dubai, Finals in Indian Wells, Quarters in Miami. Congrats Roger, Feeling some disappointment now because of unrealistic expectations because of always wanting you to win. You have played well. Sorry you couldn't win tonight. We move on. Rest and recover well See you soon.

Dumbass, by that logic, every Tennis player should "end their career."
Nadal lost to Dolgopolov in IW. Djokovic lost to TOMMY HAAS last year in Miami.

Every week, every Tennis player loses except 1.

the detractors are showing up now... listen motherfU&%s!, Roger ain't getting any younger, and at 33 he has only got a couple of years left at this level... it's enough that he still manages to beat djokovic and murray at 25 or 26 years old... He is NOT going to win them all but he has a chance at least!

I've noticed how some people on this site, don't look at the facts. Federer who was playing very well, suddenly got shat out of the tournament. Who did it? Not Nadal, Not DJokovic, BUT NISHIKORI! Burn this into your heads Fed Fans~ the end is near

Yes, my last account was broken. Federer I bet, doesn't care about anything related to this website. No doubt it is managed by someone one his team, yet there are no moderators to speak of. Kei Nishikori wasn't that impressive today.. it was Federer's shitty service games, and attitude that was the issue. I have little doubt that he (RF) will fail miserably in the upcoming clay court season. So many weeks to r est, I hope you end your career this year FEDERROR!

Yep, looks like it.
For all his entertainment value, he's an asshole. True & blue.

Roger has a good chance this season, with Rafa having chances of an injury, Djokovic who is going to go on an off, Del Po out, Murray playing at his worst maybe since 2008 Fed can at least finish number 3 with a GS title the way tennis looks this season. Had great hopes for Stan, he may perform again, but surely not as consistent. If Rafa can stay injury free it could be 14 or even 15 GS for him. Depends on the US open, it could be Nole Rafa there. But Fed can make 18 at Wimby....
