06.04.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 3

Roger and Stan secured Switzerland's spot in the Davis Cup semi-finals with two victories today: Stan defeated Michail Kukuschkin 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to level 2-2 against Kazakhstan and Roger finally made everything clear with a 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-3 win.

It is the first time since 2003 that the Swiss team has made it into the Davis Cup semis. Switzerland will host Italy in the next round from September 12 to 14.

Stepanek or Karlovic is not a good first round draw Roger, but nothing you cannot deal with. You will have to be on your toes and in your rhythm, right from the word go.
Good luck Roger, enjoy yourself but above all take care on the red stuff!

Not a great draw. Stepanek or Karlovic first up; then Janowicz or Rosol. Tsonga in quarters if gets there, Nole in semis. Nadal in other half of draw has an easy run. Its on the Monte Carlo site.
