A clear victory in Monte-Carlo

16.04.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger showed a display of the great shape he is in. He easily advanced to the round of the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters today, defeating Radek Stepanek (ATP 41) 6-1, 6-2.

Roger will either meet Lukas Rosol or Michael Llodra in the next round.

No problem Picka. Different article and easily lost through passage of time! I think if the baby/babies have to be induced i.e. they are late then Roger will miss The French Open. Rome is the week before and he doesn't mention missing that one.

Fancyfree, sorry, I didn't see your article. I guess the baby/babies will come before the French Open, maybe he will miss it. I have only 2 dreams: first is to beat Rafa anyhow, on any court, second is to win a new GS trophy. The other wins would be gift for me. Waiting much today's match with Rosol. I think it won't be an easy match (Rosol wants to show, the top four beatable by him), but do hope our Roger will show him how to play tennis and how to win. I'm so excited!!!

Go, Roger1 Rosol would like to add another "surprise to his resume" but you can "keep him down, boy!" Good luck, and feel well, body and spirit, and filled with your deep inner confidence. I have total confidence in you, your greatness and incomparable abilities. The rest, play it by ear. All the best for Mirka, all your family. I think things will work out without major disruptions! Godspeed!

I posted the same news yesterday - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/27054225 I hope Roger doesn't miss The French Open. Nothing I would like better than see him beat Rafa in The Final (in three bagels!)
