Roger eases into round two

25.05.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger easily reached the secound round of the French Open after a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win over Lukas Lacko.

"I wasn't nervous actually going into the match. It's more just like those hints of fear, maybe yesterday, maybe this morning at one point, just for like five seconds, `Oh, I really hope I don't have to pack my bags today,' that kind of feeling," Roger commented.

Roger will meet a qualifyer in the next round, either Gastao Elias (ATP 178) or Diego Sebastian Schwartzman (ATP 109).

Serena has pulled one break back.
I tuned in for a peek too, and yep - there was a lot of screaming. She's a drama queen. I like the quality of her play but can't quite get myself to root for her attitude.

Haha Fancy

Djokovic in fine form 6/1 first set. Switched to Serena not looking good...a lot of screaming going on.

Djokovic takes the first set against Chardonay - oops Chardy! The mention of wine even has gone to my head!

Thanks Shatir. I didn't think it had happened before. Serena is really under performing today. Having an incredibly bad day at the office.

Serena is down a break in the second, with the opponent serving.

Serena just lost the first set. Which means.... she will pull her hair in a knot and then destroy her opponent for two sets :)
Remember, that is what the commies used to say. Watch out when Serena fixes her hair into a knot :)

But who knows... maybe it is the opponents day...

That's a simple one, C, the answer is 'never', because Serena has only lost in the 2R once - in the 1998 Aussie Open, where Venus reached the QF.
