Roger eases into round two

25.05.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger easily reached the secound round of the French Open after a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win over Lukas Lacko.

"I wasn't nervous actually going into the match. It's more just like those hints of fear, maybe yesterday, maybe this morning at one point, just for like five seconds, `Oh, I really hope I don't have to pack my bags today,' that kind of feeling," Roger commented.

Roger will meet a qualifyer in the next round, either Gastao Elias (ATP 178) or Diego Sebastian Schwartzman (ATP 109).

Well Dolgopolov is out and Berdych has just fought back to win the second set. Raonic won the first set in a tie break. He was a break down in it and had a couple of set points against him.

Yup sometimes Roger looks like a midget against the tall guys!

It's raining.

Wish Roger would win the long rallies

Nah, it's nothing personal.
Schwarzman does look a little funny proportionally, especially set against the perfect build of Roger!

Sorry Shatir, I realised I might have upset a few here! (What's new? lol) I myself am 5 ft 2 so really in no position to poke fun at Roger's opponent!

Hey did you see the twins! They both are reading and both have lollipops in their mouths! Cute!

@Fancyfree,

Like I said! :P
I'm about 5'8" tall so I do sympathize with Schwarzman a little bit. ;P

Wooh - super quick hold by Roger to go up 5-2.

Looks like order is restored.
Triple break point for Roger to go 4-2 up.
