Roger eases into round two

25.05.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger easily reached the secound round of the French Open after a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win over Lukas Lacko.

"I wasn't nervous actually going into the match. It's more just like those hints of fear, maybe yesterday, maybe this morning at one point, just for like five seconds, `Oh, I really hope I don't have to pack my bags today,' that kind of feeling," Roger commented.

Roger will meet a qualifyer in the next round, either Gastao Elias (ATP 178) or Diego Sebastian Schwartzman (ATP 109).

Who is Raonic playing? I don't like him, now his outfit come to think of it!

Dislike Berdych! Won't mind him losing anytime, plus it won't make a huge deal of difference to Roger! He's the comfortable favorite anyway - especially on clay.

All we need now is Thiem to blow Rafa out tomorrow and of course for our boy to win today!!! Oh and Chardy to get his act together! Allez Roger!!! X

Fancy, fashion has definitely taken a bit of a hit this French Open. Ewww. I don't know if it is as bad as the black one he was wearing the other day though.

Raonic is down also. Serving to stay in the first set with set point against him.

Is Thomas thinking he's still in Miami by wearing that floral effort?

I'm with you Somnath. I would rather see Berdych gone also and blow the draw open for Roger.
