Monte Carlo
Dear fans
I had the privilege of taking a tour of the VIP village and the normal tennis village in Monte Carlo today. It is quite impressive what kind of infrastructure they set up here year after year!
As planned I also met up with Albert II, the Reigning Prince of Monaco. It was great to catch up but unfortunately he has to leave today already and cannot stay for the tournament. He had followed Rafa’s and my matches live these last years. As a sign of our friendship, I handed him one of the rackets I had used to capture this year’s Australian Open title with and received a precious china plate with the crown of Monaco on it in return.
Soon I’ll be off to the live interview with ‘France 2’. I will be featured on the show called ‘Stade 2’ which starts at 5.50 pm (local time).
