Roger defeated in final

10.08.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 3

Roger was unable to realise his 80th victory on the ATP Tour today. He was defeated 5-7, 6-7(3) by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Toronto.

Both players battled with the windy conditions, but Roger simply committed a too large number of errors, especially from the baseline. He lost the first set when he was broken in the very last moment as Tsonga converted the first breakball in the mach. In the second set, our champ was able to fight off a match-ball, taking the match into a tie-breaker. But unfortunately he did not manage to take the encounter into a decider.

Next up is the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati which start this week already.

Hi Rog, A great disappointment for you in Toronto, but I still think you are unbelievable!, your love for the sport. Your children will be very proud!.
Good luck in Cincinnati. Take care.

Dear Roger
All t e best to you at Cincinnati! Tennis is so beautiful when you play your best! I wish you all the best and good luck! Hope you aren't tired from Toronto any more! Because it was so obvious in your match vs Tsonga (who, btw lost yesterday!!!!). It seems to me that for all of them it's the most important to defeat you! Unfortunately he succeeded it last Sunday!
Go, Roger, goooooooooo!
Love, Mimi

Champ Dear,
We know you always do the best you can...and we along with millions of Feds believers will be watching, one match at a time.

The garbage written here about Rafa, unreal: shut up

Maybe Canada and the US are wise and have drug checking on there agenda...
Ooops, watch out users you will be caught...
Ha, wonder why novak is playing so badly, wonder no more...

Wimbledon was Roger's!!!!!!

But that's OK, our Maestro is the King of the Courts and gets all the endorsements!!!

Roger: Tomorrow you have a tricky start and you will have a tricky draw. The key is to be perfect in serve and mindset and apply a lot of pressure on your return games. The key against Pospisil is aiming at his backhand, then dropping a lot to make him run since he is a big body and the court is going to be hot, you have to give it 110% in all matches to try to keep them short in order to play well 5 days in a row. You are the best, aim at staying defeat free for the remaining of 2014.

And he just dropped the second set.

Fancy, he lost to Mikhail Youzhny. I always knew he would, he blows so hot and cold. Meanwhile Djokovic has just been broken back in the second set here. He really isn't playing well.

Just read Tsonga went out in the first round. Who was he playing?

A ridiculous thing to say.
