Hamburg semis

Roger went through a mid-match low before getting his 15th straight win at the Hamburg Masters on Friday, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, in the quarter-finals over Spain’s David Ferrer.

 

By winning in 1 hour 46 minutes in front of a large 10,000-strong crowd, Roger also kept his perfect record against Ferrer. He has won all their seven meetings, but Friday marked the first match in which he dropped a set against Ferrer.

 

Roger was in command early on, taking the first set with two breaks. But he was derailed in a second set which saw seven breaks of serve, with our star dropping serve on four occasions and ending the set with a backhand error.  Luck and experience brought him back on track in the final set. A netcord and an ace allowed him to hold for 4-3, he broke for 5-3 in a long game and then served out the match at love in the next game.

 

In the semi-finals, Roger meets either Serbian teenage sensation Novak Djokovic (ATP 6) or Spain's Carlos Moya (ATP 36).

OK, Nadal beat Hewitt but he had a wicked hard time doing it! If Hewitt can do that well against him breaking him several times, taking a set from him, it should be easy for you! Go, Roger!

Dear Roger,
Congratulations for your match against Moya.
In the first set you didn't play so well and Moya didn't play like a tennisplayer at 31 years old!! When he won the set 6-4 I cried a lot but I belived in you!!

And one more thing, Stop the smooching with Tiger Woods! He is a great player but not nearly as dominant or as talented as you are in your sport, Tiger doesnt take it alll that seriously because of it but, think about it Roger! You are one tournament away

THE FINAL IS BETWEEN YOU AND HEWITT. nadal will sure be knocked out in the semis, from the much i've watched it so far.

I'm happy you thought Moya a lesson today. You were quietly awesome today, though i was a bit scared when you failed to close it out

Nadal's in a pickle at the moment. Let's pray that it will be a long and tiring match for Hewitt and Nadal! That way our hero will win this tournament.
