Perfect US Open start
28.08.2007 | Tennis
Roger began his quest for a fourth straight U.S. Open title with an easy straight-set win yesterday. Our star posted a 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over American qualifier Scoville Jenkins (ATP 319). He needed just 92 minutes and faced only two break points - saving both - against his powerful serve.
"I thought it was a good match, tough match," said Federer. "I didn't allow my opponent many chances on my serve. I was serving well. Unfortunately for him he double faulted quite a bit on breakpoints, which obviously helped. It was a good opening match for me."
The second round opponent for our number one is another qualifier, Paul Capdeville. The Chilean outlasted Germany's Rainer Schuettler 5-7, 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-3.

All the best in tomorrow night's match (2nd round), do not take him for granted, stay healthy and focused all the way till the end of the match !
All the best for moving onward through the draw!
Take care,
J
You're simply the best.. ;)
