Roger cruises on
Roger easily advanced to the third round past Chile's Paul Capdeville 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 in 89 minutes. "I'm very happy the way I played. I think I did well," he said. "I had to struggle a bit through the second set but I tried to stay aggressive and I think it all worked out."
Roger raced to the first set in 23 minutes leaning heavily towards serve and volley tactics to shake up the South American claycourt specialist. What Capdeville lacked in technique he made up for with heart and the Chilean actually broke Roger’s serve to go 3-1 up in second set, only for the world number one to punish the upstart by winning the next four games in a row on his way to a 2-0 lead. Capdeville continued to fight but even though our defending champ relaxed a little as the night wore on, the Chilean could not find a way back in.
Seeking his 12th Slam crown and fourth US Open title in a row, Roger is chasing Pete Sampras' all-time Slam title record of 14. His third-round opponent is John Isner, the 6-foot-9 American who only a few months ago was playing college tennis for Georgia. With fans barking for their favorite Bulldog, Isner followed up his first-round upset of No. 26 Jarkko Nieminen by beating Rik de Voest of South Africa 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (4).

I know Isner has you thinking but you're the king! He's going to try his best out there just because he is the underdog and he is in his own country but don't worry. Just raise you're game a notch because h
