A fantastic finish
Roger overcame a spirited opponent in Feliciano Lopez to advance to the quarter-finals of the US Open in last evening’s night-session. He lost the first set, barely won the second, and trailed love-40 to start the third. But then Roger did the sort of remarkable thing that only our hero does: He won the next 35 points he served.
Answering every question Lopez posed with an exclamation point, Roger took control of the third set and the match, coming back to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4 in the fourth round at Flushing Meadows.
"He is a fantastic player I just hung in there and hoped he didn't keep playing so well," said Roger of Lopez after the match. With this victory, he has set up a tantalising quarter-final clash with former champ Andy Roddick. He is 13-1 against Roddick, but Roger’s comment was: "it's a great record, but it doesn't help me. We’ll see how it goes. Andy's always tough at the U.S. Open."

Great match Roger! I love watching you, especially when you really get pumped up in matches. Thought you played an absolute blinder! Also I've never seen you move as well as you're doing this tournament (which is an incredible feit), and your back-
go for it! love you...josh
Well, we all know Roddick is dangerous... but play your best and you can defeat him just like you did at the Australian Open this year. Play your best against

Good Luck in your next match against A.Roddick.No unforced errors/Good 1st serve...from you...Beware of andy's big 1st serve...You know allof these...
Congratulations on winning a hard fought match against Lopez. Due to the time difference here in the UK I was unable to watch the match live. However, I managed to see the highlights.
Good luck in the quarters against Roddick. Again
Congratulations on another win. Unfortunately, I could not follow it since it is well past my bed time. That may be just as well as I probably would not have any nails left.
Anyway you won, which is what matters. I hope everything goes well
