Almost there!
Roger will take a 7-0 record and the fervent support of a sellout hometown crowd into his Sunday final with Jarkko Nieminen at the Swiss Indoors.
"It's an almost perfect scenario," said Roger as he looked ahead to Sunday's final. "I'm really happy with how the week has gone after a bit of a scare in the first round."
"Today's match was a lot like my (7-6 7-6) match against Karlovic in Montreal with very few chances to break. Now I just hope the home crowd can help push me to the finish tomorrow."
Roger held his nerve in a steady win over huge-serving Ivo Karlovic, holding the Croatian to just 16 aces to advance 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-5) in today’s semi-final. He will next meet Finland's Jarkko Nieminen, who earlier had posted a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 triumph over Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus.
"Roger's the favourite in every match he plays," said Nieminen. "I have lost to him seven times so I'm going in with no pressure. I have nothing to lose. I'll give my best and hopefully the match will go well for me.”
Roger will be looking to reinforce home pride as he bids for a seventh title of 2007 from 11 finals this season.

And the win should seal yr no. 1 spot for the year, and hopefully u will rest and not play Paris to be ready for Shanghai.
In any case, blessings !
You played a really classy match against Karlovic and showed once again that when it counts you can come up with what it takes to win. Congratulations and the very best of luck for the final - I am sure you will provide more of your masterl
That was a scary match indeed. I predicted you would handle him like u did in Montreal.
Go for Gold this time around! You deserve nothing but a win tomorrow. 6 titles so far in the year is too small. You just have to WIN, WIN and WIN.
Keep it up!
God bless!
Your stile against that torpedos was great!!!
Let's be champions tomorrow!
