Roger breezes into semis

Despite knowing when he took the court that both he and Andy Roddick had qualified for the semifinals, Roger sent a message to the man he may meet again in the final. Our star produced his best performance of the tournament to blitz Roddick 6-4, 6-2, to record his 11th consecutive victory over the American.

 

Roger was at his imperious best against Roddick, hitting 33 winners to 14, and making just 13 unforced errors.

 

The win elevated Roger to top spot in the group, ensuring that he would, for the second consecutive year, meet arch rival Rafael Nadal in the semifinals tomorrow.

ohh my gosh !!! Roger look pretty cool in the game, congratulations our star. i remember that during the game, Roddick said "i'll win Federer, i promise." but as you know our star is a genius, it not easy for you to do so :)

Roger, I am so proud of you! You rocked and I never doubted you for a moment. I am actually quite glad that Gonzalez gave you a warning so you weren't complacent (not that you ever are) but it still makes a bit of a difference when you know you have to be

Congrats Champ, just saw you destroy Rafa in 2 sets. You played great and are at your best again.
Watch out though tomorrow because Ferrer is on fire. You may have to go to 3 sets. But if you can maintain todays level, you will win.
