Roger nominated for Swiss Athlete of the Year

Roger has been nominated for the 2007 Swiss Athlete of the Year award. His great performances at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, the US Open as well as the victory at the world championships in Shanghai are certainly more than proof enough of an impressive season, dominating the sport. Only recently has he reached another milestone: 200 weeks at the top of the world ranking.

The other nominees are Viktor Röthlin (marathon) and Fabian Cancellara (cycling).

 

Roger has won the award three times so far (2003, 2004, 2006). Will he make it four? The Swiss TV audience will be voting for the athlete of the year during a live broadcast on December 15th.
