Haas withdraws: semis for Roger

Roger has advanced to the semis with an unexpected break in Indian Wells as Tommy Haas forfeited his quarter-final due to a sinus infection.

 

Haas had started into the tournament very well after his comeback since his third shoulder-operation. It is already the second time in series he was not able to challenge Roger on court: he also had to pull out of the encounter in Wimbledon last year.

 

Roger will face the winner of the David Nalbandian-Mardy Fish match. The other men's semifinal pits defending champion Rafael Nadal against Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic.

This was completely unexpected. It's a pity for Roger cause he needs match practice. Too bad for Tommy. I hope he feels better soon. Mardy Fish will be playing Roger next. Lova ya, Rog.

Congratulations on advancing to the semis. I imagine you wanted to play against Haas, but a win is a win is a win.
The other quarter between Nalby and Fish were quite spectacular. I hope you are happy to take on Fish. Go Roger!
