Roger moves on

31.03.2008 | Tennis

Roger needed just 47 minutes to reach the fourth round of the Miami Masters on Monday as Swede Robin Soderling retired with illness. Our champion advanced 6-4, 3-0. Roger is now 5-0 lifetime against Soderling.

"I think it was good for me to go out there and play today," Roger told reporters. "Apparently it was a fever. There was no point in his continuing and risking his health,"

"I hope I can make it step by step and once you make it to the quarter-finals or semi-finals you start thinking about winning the title."

Roger's fourth-round opponent will be Argentine José Acasuso, a 6-4, 6-4 winner against Israeli Dudi Sela.

Good luck against Acasuso. You are fianally getting into form and hopefully peak at the right time to record your first title of the year and prove all the critcis wrong.

Nice win Roger, just a pity Robin could not end the match. Anyway, a win is a win and you go on. Now Chucho, dangerous but rather predictable.
Just 4 to go...
Good luck!
