Roger wins first match

Roger rallied from a set down to defeat Olivier Rochus of Belgium 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 Tuesday in the first round of the clay-court Estoril Open.
After dropping the opening set in 40 minutes, Roger roared back to level and increased his grip on his longtime Belgian rival on the way to the first-round victory.
"It was disappointing the way I played the first set but what can you do?" Roger told reporters after the two-hour match on centre court. "You have to wake up in the second set and adjust a few things and in the third I started to get the upper hand from the baseline, which was key."
Roger will meet Victor Hanescu of Romania in the second round.
