First final of the season

Roger has reached his first final in 2008 after defeating Denis Gremelmayr 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.

 

Both players had to deal with huge wind gusts, which often forced them to turn their eyes away as loose clay swirled around the Estadio Nacionel.

 

Federer will play the winner of the match between Nikolay Davydenko and Florent Serra.

We knew the day would come when our champ would get back to his winning ways. He prevailed in the final over Davydenko to win the Estoril title, however, Davydenko had to retire at the beginning of the second set. The first set went to

Is there no end of these players pulling out and stuffing up your preperation?
If I'm not mistaken it has happened to Rog every single tournament this year except Dubai. Wierd huh?

How do you guys think if Davydenko had won the first set and in front in the second, would he retire? Roger you won, what ever it was i know you would have won. You'd have done better later in the match. Congrats!

Congrats, Roger! It would have been better if the whole match was played out. It would have been better prepped you into Monte Carlo. But we will take this victory! See you next week.
