First final of the season

19.04.2008 | Tennis

Roger has reached his first final in 2008 after defeating Denis Gremelmayr 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.

Both players had to deal with huge wind gusts, which often forced them to turn their eyes away as loose clay swirled around the Estadio Nacionel.

Federer will play the winner of the match between Nikolay Davydenko and Florent Serra.

It would have been better if the match was completed. But but but, congrats for the year's first title! It is a good start for the clay season. I hope you'll go through all the way. Looking forward to watching monte carlo games on TV! Yes!

Congratulations!
It's a pity Nikolay is retired.
But i think you would win if he continued playing with the score 7:6 4:6 6:3.
Best wishes for the future.

not the victory you (or us) would have wanted, but at least you have a tournament win this year, should give you a boost heading into all the ATP Master's Series events.
Good Luck!!
