Roger vs. Rafa for the third straight time

26.04.2008 | Tennis

Roger has reached the Monte Carlo Masters final after Novak Djokovic retired due to illness. Our number one was leading 6-3 3-2 when the Serbian third seed complained of dizziness and pulled out of the semi-final.

Roger  was back to his brilliant best in the first set against Djokovic. He saved three break points in the fifth game before stealing Djokovic's serve on his first attempt to open up a decisive 5-3 advantage.

"I think I served a bit better today," said Roger. "I served well when I had to and I was consistent from the baseline. "Tomorrow, I will try to push him (Nadal) to see what happens."

Roger,

It is me again. Just to tell you that I think you are already a better player than Rafa on clay. You showed it today during those patches where you were able to implement your new game plan. And you keep adding to your game. You now even a br

Dearest Roger,

Thank you for your nice performance today. Sorry you didn't win, but it wasn't a bad game at all.
I'm so happy to see you are recovering from the illness so quickly. I hope that you will get better and better.
Now rest well, take c

Very disappointed with roger's gameplay in the final, especially in the 2nd set. Rafa could never dream of such comeback from 4-0 down. I think Roger must work on his service power and precision and put a team to work on his mental stamina. Then surely he

There's one more thing i want to mention, maybe it is mainly due to the psychologic factor which causes u to lose 5 sets straightly and ended up with failure.

It's ok, it's ok!!! I feel happy enough with ur outcome of reaching final of the clay land, since i am aware that Nadal is intrepid and sooooo difficult to conquer in clay. Anyway im still convinced u are the best, and u have the opportunity to beat him d
