From red to green

10.06.2008 | Tennis

After a short detour via Zürich Roger will play his first match in Halle tomorrow. This, of course, means that the grass-season has started! Roger is aiming for a fifth title in Halle after winning the tournament 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. His coach, José Higuéras, as well as his fitness trainer, Pierre Paganini, will be accompanying our star. Roger absolved a first three-hour training session in Halle this afternoon in order to get used to the surface.

He faces ’s Michael Berrer (ATP 83) in his first match on Wednesday. The player from Stuttgart won a set against Roger last autumn in Basel .

Roger stands at a record 54 victories in series on grass.
