Fabulous Roger
Roger stretched his winning streak on grass to 64 matches today to reach the Wimbledon semifinals by beating Mario Ancic 6-1, 7-5, 6-4. The win marked his 39th straight victory at Wimbledon, where he has won the last five titles and stands 43-4 at his favourite major venue.
"I'm playing great and serving excellent," Roger commented. "I had a lot of aces again, that always helps. It was a tough day with the rain delay and it broke my momentum a bit. But I got back into the match and played well all the way through."
Roger rocketed over three aces in the final game as he served out his success in on hour, 41 minutes, clocking 15 aces and a mere six unforced errors. Our king of grass calmly waited out a two-hour, 12-minute rain interruption after cautiously putting away a 20-minute first set - he lost just one point on serve - and standing 1-1 in the second when light drizzle moved in. Back on court and lifting the second set with a break from an Ancic double-fault for 6-5, Roger consolidated. He then applied even more pressure, forcing Croatia's Ancic to struggle through ten deuces and a 16-minute opening game of the third.
Roger will race the winner from Russian Marat Safin and Spain's Feliciano Lopez in the semi-finals on Friday.

I thought it was not allowed for coaches to send ANYTHING to the player in the middle of a match. So it really surprised me that Nadal received shoes. Should he not have everything he needs in his bags when he walks on the court? Why was
