A promising start

11.08.2008 | Tennis

Top seed Roger opened his Olympic campaign with a straightforward 6-4, 6-2 win over Russia's Dmitry Tursunov today. He converted his first break point at 1-1 in the first set and broke twice in the second to complete an easy victory in one hour and five minutes.

"Sometimes it plays a trick in your mind where you think maybe you're not playing that well, but it's actually not the case," Roger said, clearly relieved to be up and running at the tournament after a difficult five weeks. "I played well, hit some great winners, got some good balls back. I was playing very solid."

Roger's next opponent will be Rafael Arevalo of El Salvador, the 447th- ranked player in the world.

Here in SA we've little coverage and none of Roger's matches either. I have tried to find live scores...with little success, either. The ITF website's live score's (which looks like a schedule of play) only show games won, not points of the game

Hi Chosen,

I have no idea what to do. Yesterday CBC (Canadain Boradcast) was showing the tennis and suddenly today, they don't show it any more. And Channelsurfing is useless too.

I hoped someone can help but it looks like there is nobody around...
