A solid victory in the doubles

Roger only had a few hours break after his victory in the singles competition before getting back on court for the doubles. Playing a most solid match, Roger and Stan qualified for the quarterfinal of the doubles competition with a 6-4, 6-3  victory over Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny.  

 

The Swiss duo played a very good match and was able to improve the level of play throughout the game. They will take on Mahesh Bhupathi/Leander Paes of India in the next round – a rather difficult task. Roger had lost to them at the Athens Olympics four years ago together with Yves Allegro.

Federer will come back -- if he doesn't win any titles this year -- it's not end of the world for anybody. He will come back next year -- and hopefully he will get fit, & practice. This year has been difficult for him for various reasons that started with

eeeee, I agree with you.

Get Paul Annacone, the rest will fall into place. I had this gut feeling he was going to crack. He will not be wipe out the court by anybody, but those extra points he is losing. To lose Wimbledon by a margin og just five point
