A solid victory in the doubles

Roger only had a few hours break after his victory in the singles competition before getting back on court for the doubles. Playing a most solid match, Roger and Stan qualified for the quarterfinal of the doubles competition with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny.
The Swiss duo played a very good match and was able to improve the level of play throughout the game. They will take on Mahesh Bhupathi/Leander Paes of India in the next round – a rather difficult task. Roger had lost to them at the Athens Olympics four years ago together with Yves Allegro.
