A solid victory in the doubles

13.08.2008 | Tennis

Roger only had a few hours break after his victory in the singles competition before getting back on court for the doubles. Playing a most solid match, Roger and Stan qualified for the quarterfinal of the doubles competition with a 6-4, 6-3  victory over Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny.

The Swiss duo played a very good match and was able to improve the level of play throughout the game. They will take on Mahesh Bhupathi/Leander Paes of India in the next round – a rather difficult task. Roger had lost to them at the Athens Olympics four years ago together with Yves Allegro.

I am so sorry. I wish he made at least 3 months break after he discovered he had the mono. Lets this year go, lets forget all the pain and hopefully next year he will find himself again.

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose -- and sometimes you just don't have anything left in you physically. It happens.

So fans -- who are upset, using obscene language, getting worked up etc ... it could have happened to anybody and you too if you wer
