Silver or gold?
15.08.2008 | Tennis
Roger has secured himself and teammate Stanislas Wawrinka an olympic medal! They knocked out the top-seeded American team of Bob and Mike Bryan today: 7-6 (6), 6-4.
This means that Roger, after twice not having been able to win a medal in previous Olympics and also failing in Beijing in singles when he lost to Blake Thursday night, finally will get his Olympic medal. The color will be determined in a Saturday final against Simon Aspelin and Thomas Johansson of Sweden, who played the granddaddy of dramatic matches in the semifinals. They beat Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra of France after 4 hours 46 minutes, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 19-17.
